Great News On Hard Drives!

1 TB 2,5" Hard Drive is a reality!! You can store all those precious "documents" on your laptop without the impractical use of a secondary external HDD. Or you can use it as an easy self - powered portable external HDD for any use!

2 TB 3,5" Hard Drive is also a reality! Everything can be backed up in there!
I just can't help imagine this thing breaking or causing loss of data due to malfunction... Just imagine... 2 TB of data...

Well the bottom line is that disc space goes up and the price continues to go down so everyone is happy!!

Great Architecture

This is a very nice concept concert hall building. What got my attention is beside its modern style, its stage backdrop which is actually a window. If they find a way to deal with distractions we have a winner!!

ASUS Preparing A New Phone?

It is still a rumor with no official confirmation whatsoever but still... it seems probable. ASUS has a great success with the eee pc in the netbook era and it would be reasonable if she wanted a part of the high class smartphone era too.
The good thing is that according to the rumors, the eee phone (or whatever they may call it) is going to be an Android phone too.
(The pic is of course a speculation of the probable product)

Philips Takes Aspect Ratio to Another Level.

Well, Philips thinks that introducing an 21:9 aspect ratio is going to make things better for those blockbuster films by "removing" the letterbox.

There is a big "but" though. When watching "regular" aspect ratio films or even a TV program this "innovation" backfires, stretching the image too much, rendering the film or program unwatchable or by moving the black letterbox bars on the corners of the screen creating the same problem it's trying to solve.

New Blood Joins This Earth!

During the CES, PALM, introduced a new smartphone called "PRE" interesting enough to bring some attention and important enough to be compared with the top of this category (iPhone, G1).
What got my attention is the new innovating OS (aka Web OS) impressive enough with smooth transition effects, the shape, which at first look childish to me but when seen in action, it look easy to handle and stylish enough and the fact that PALM insists on the full non touch screen qwerty keyboard.
Another innovating feature is the wireless charging station introduced for the first time for such a product and is, of course, welcome!!

It seems that PALM reenters the smartphone arena with a very competitive product, so lets see how things are going to turn out. So far the top 3 products (iPhone, G1 and PRE) all have different OSes different philosophies but a common course. (App store, for instance) A very good thing for users and developers alike.

The Man Is OK. Can We All Go Back To Our Business Now?

The last week or so there where tons of rumors about Steve Jobs' health deterioration issues. Some people even sold their apple stokes.

To straiten things out, Steve himself published an announcement stating detail about this very personal matter. Everything is o.k. so can we all go back minding our own business now instead of playing the man's requiem?

This is what Steve Jobs wrote:

Dear Apple Community,

For the first time in a decade, I'm getting to spend the holiday season with my family, rather than intensely preparing for a Macworld keynote.

Unfortunately, my decision to have Phil deliver the Macworld keynote set off another flurry of rumors about my health, with some even publishing stories of me on my deathbed.

I've decided to share something very personal with the Apple community so that we can all relax and enjoy the show tomorrow.

As many of you know, I have been losing weight throughout 2008. The reason has been a mystery to me and my doctors. A few weeks ago, I decided that getting to the root cause of this and reversing it needed to become my #1 priority.

Fortunately, after further testing, my doctors think they have found the cause — a hormone imbalance that has been "robbing" me of the proteins my body needs to be healthy. Sophisticated blood tests have confirmed this diagnosis.

The remedy for this nutritional problem is relatively simple and straightforward, and I've already begun treatment. But, just like I didn't lose this much weight and body mass in a week or a month, my doctors expect it will take me until late this Spring to regain it. I will continue as Apple's CEO during my recovery.

I have given more than my all to Apple for the past 11 years now. I will be the first one to step up and tell our Board of Directors if I can no longer continue to fulfill my duties as Apple's CEO. I hope the Apple community will support me in my recovery and know that I will always put what is best for
Apple first.

So now I've said more than I wanted to say, and all that I am going to say, about this.

Steve
